Hi, I’m Kim
I’ve been in the industry since 2011 and I am the owner of MumTribe Fitness.
MumTribe was created because I saw a real gap in the fitness industry when it came to supporting mums properly.
Women want to prioritise their health, build strength and feel good in their bodies again, but there always seem to be roadblocks in this space. Being limited to mums and bubs classes, relying on creche or feeling like your child has to sit still and be quiet just isn’t realistic and it’s not the kind of support mums actually need.
I’ve experienced the power of community myself. During my own fertility journey, which led to IVF, I was surrounded by women who supported me in ways I can’t fully put into words. That experience stayed with me. The support I received shouldn’t be rare, it should be something every mum has access to.
Attending gym it’s not as simple as just leaving the house and getting to a class. Most mums have already lived a full day before 7am. Getting out the door with kids, bags, snacks and a meltdown or two takes effort, and I see it every day with the mums I train.
Motherhood was never meant to be done alone.
That’s why everything at MumTribe is built around real mums with real lives.

No two pregnancies, births, or postpartum journeys are the same. We work with where your body is at right now. No added pressure or unrealistic expectations to bounce back, lift super heavy, or push beyond what feels right for you.

Every class is designed with pre & post natal considerations in mind.
We guide you through each exercise so you understand what you’re doing and why.
Nothing is random, and our programming is built around how your year actually looks, so your goals are achievable, your training is structured, and you are progressing. -
Some days you’ll feel strong, other days you won’t. Some days you can do certain exercises, other days you’ll need to adjust. This doesn’t mean you have to stop completely. We modify and work around it so you can keep moving through every stage, feeling supported and safe within every movement.

We don’t promote quick fixes or encourage rushing to get results. We want you to build strength in a way that supports your body long term. You’re not just sailing through workouts with no real purpose in sight, you’re creating a foundation for the stronger version of you.

Babies, toddlers, chaos… it’s all welcome here. You don’t need to wait for the “right time” or have everything perfectly organised to show up.
We know life doesn’t slow down when you want to train, so we make it work with and around you..

That's actually the ideal starting point. No bad habits to undo. We'll start from scratch, teach you the fundamentals properly, and build from there at a pace that works for you.

Not at all, staying active during a healthy pregnancy has real benefits! It’s often easier get into a good routine before bubs arrives (and this also gives you postpartum benefits!) BUT, its never too late to start, even if you are newly postpartum

Not at all - and if you're still in the trying-to-conceive stage, you're especially welcome here. MumTribe is for women at every point on the motherhood journey, and that starts long before a positive test, and all the way to the season where your kids have flown the nest.

Depends on the injury, but usually yes. I'll ask you to get medical clearance if needed, and we'll work around limitations rather than through them. Tell me about it when you enquire.

Absolutely - we encourage it! MumTribe is set up so you never have to choose between showing up for yourself and being there for your kids. There's space for your little ones to play while you train - and you're always close by if they need you.

No creche - and that's by design. Rather than adding creche costs on top of your membership, we have spaces for babies, toddlers and kids to chill and play while you work out, and you’ll always be close by if they need you.

Yes - there are 4 spaces on site, plus on-street parking a short walk away.

We have a change table in our toilets, however we do not have showers on site.

Sessions are booking-only through our GloFox app - we don't operate as a drop-in gym, primarily for safety reasons for you and your little ones.

Yes - if a class is fully booked, jump on the waitlist. It moves quickly, especially in the days leading up to a class. If a spot opens up, all waitlisted members are notified by message and email - first to respond gets the spot, so keep an eye on your notifications sent via message and email.

MumTribe is based in Carrum Downs in Melbourne's south-east. Classes available mornings, afternoons, evenings, and Saturdays.
